A message received at WRYM: “My son resides at WRYM and you have been nothing short of a Godsend. I only wish …I could …. thank you all with a hug. God bless all of you  - A very thankful mom … "

Orange Door Project
Checkout Counters & Online Donations Campaign November 29-December 16 raised $3,356! The Home Depot Canada’s Walker & Division roads store (store #7228) in Windsor was fundraising for the Windsor Residence for Young Men (WRYM) this holiday season. Until December 16, customers could donate $2 at the store’s checkout in exchange for an orange paper door. All donations helped WRYM to support young men 16 - 24 years of age as they leave homelessness behind to build new lives.

Mortgage Intelligence, Angels in the Night – December 11th
A truck pulled up Tuesday evening, December 11th , outside Windsor Residence for Young Men - then a bus pulled up, and volunteers of the Mortgage Intelligence company’s Angels in the Night Homeless Shelter Project piled out and unloaded household goods, cleaning supplies, movies, games, new clothing and footwear, wallets and so much more, stacking them in WRYM’s basement classroom. Angels in the Night volunteers are doing the same in more than a dozen communities across Canada! Christmas cheer all around, and we at WRYM are very, very grateful! (See the video)

‘Tis the Season for Giving Campaign – WRYM Fundraising Campaign
During this holiday season, the Windsor Residence for Young Men would like to raise awareness about homelessness in our community. WRYM provides support to young men ages 16 – 24 years as they transition from homelessness and build new lives. It costs $8,000 a year for one young man to receive the guidance and support while at WRYM. Please take a moment this busy holiday season and make a donation of your choice to our Christmas Tree and help us end homelessness in our community. To date and learn more, visit www.wrym.ca
You're making a world of difference for “our guys”! Thank you for keeping them close to your hearts at this time of the year. May you enjoy all the very Best of the Season!

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach him how to fish and he will feed himself for a lifetime.

WRYM offers a hand up, not a hand out.
