The Windsor Residence for Young Men, serving Windsor and Essex County, Ontario, Canada, is asking people of goodwill for their generosity in helping to end homelessness for youth aged 16-24 years. To reach out to concerned citizens and raise funds to help homeless youth build new lives, WRYM's Holiday Season of Giving campaign is under way December 2-25:
  • Throughout WRYM's Holiday Season of Giving - One of the simplest ways to give gifts during COVID is to donate to a good cause in the name of a friend or loved one.
  • Donations may always be done quite simply through our website's regular giving link at www.wrym.ca or, better, through WRYM's Holiday Season of Giving CanadaHelps campaign page.

  • If you would like an overview of how to help WRYM, would like to deliver a cheque, or would like to discuss the matter, you can also visit our Your Help page.
  • You can also see our news on Facebook

  • WRYM's Holiday Season of Giving on GivingTuesdayCa - From now until December 1, our campaign is joining with other charities worldwide to celebrate Giving Tuesday December 1. This has the advantage of gaining WRYM some publicity and matching funds. Just link to our Giving Tuesday page.

The Orange Door Projectwww.orangedoorproject.ca - WRYM's Holiday Season of Giving thanks The Home Depot Canada Foundation and our friends at The Home Depot Walker and Division roads store (store #7228) in Windsor for The Orange Door Project fundraising campaign for homeless youth December 1 to December 20.

All funds raised at that store, and some sponsor funds, will benefit residents of the Windsor Residence for Young Men.  Donate $2 at the checkout or visit www.orangedoorproject.ca and donate to the Windsor Walker and Division roads store (store #7228).

WRYM's annual program budget is $400,000 (Canadian). Divided by an average of 50 residents assisted each year, the yearly cost per resident is $8,000.
  • $5.00 provides a homeless youth with fresh food for the day
  • $20.00 provides a 2-hour life-skill counselling and training session for an at-risk youth
  • $100.00 provides a homeless youth one day of shelter, counselling, food, hygiene products, and basic needs
Thank you for your generosity - the folks at www.wrym.ca
