Warm Holiday Wishes from WRYM As we approach the end of another year, all of us at The Windsor Residence for Young Men want to share our heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes with you. Your support has helped change the lives of so many young men, and this season reminds us just how vital that support truly is. For youth experiencing homelessness, the holidays can be an especially difficult time. While many people gather with loved ones, others are searching for stability, connection, and hope. Thanks to you, WRYM is able to offer all three: providing safe shelter, life skills, guidance, and the sense of belonging every young person deserves. Your generosity this season helps ensure that young men have not only a place to stay but a place to grow. It allows them to enter the new year with confidence, support, and the tools they need to move toward independence. Thank you for being part of their journey. We wish you and your family a joyful holiday season and a bright, hopeful new year ahead. WRYM in the News: Double Your Impact This Season Our Season of Giving campaign is gaining attention, including recent coverage from AM800 highlighting how community support is helping unlock our $30,000 matching fund. There is still a large portion of the match available, meaning every gift made right now is doubled and goes twice as far for young men overcoming homelessness. To date, we have raised $13,695 towards our matching fund, which means we are almost halfway there! We are grateful to AM800 and Biz X Magazine for shining a spotlight on this campaign and for continuing to share our work with the community. Your support today helps provide safe shelter, life skills, and long term stability for youth who are working hard to rebuild their lives. Thank you for helping us keep the momentum going. Interviews with a Resident: Meet Paul In this month's Interviews with a Resident installment, we invite you to meet Paul, a thoughtful and resilient 16 year old who came to WRYM after he could no longer remain safely with his family. Like many youth in care, Paul faced uncertainty, sudden change, and the challenge of navigating adulthood far sooner than most young people his age. Since coming to WRYM, Paul has been working hard to build a stable foundation for his future. He has embraced life skills programming, connected with our team for support, and begun finding the confidence and direction he needs to move forward. His courage, honesty, and determination shine through in every step he takes. Paul's story is an important reminder of how essential safe housing, caring guidance, and community support are for young people who have experienced family breakdown. It also reflects what your generosity makes possible each day. We are grateful Paul chose to share his experience, and we encourage you to hear his story in his own words. WRYM Receives $19,000 Grant for Stronger Steps Initiative We are excited to share that The Windsor Residence for Young Men has been awarded a $19,000 grant from the Harry E. Foster Charitable Foundation in support of our Stronger Steps initiative. This funding will help us expand vital supports for young men who are experiencing homelessness and living with intellectual disabilities. Stronger Steps provides individualized guidance, practical skill development, and ongoing stability planning to help youth overcome barriers and move toward independence. Thanks to this generous contribution, we will be able to deepen our impact and continue offering tailored support that many young men rely on. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Harry E. Foster Charitable Foundation for their meaningful investment in this work and for their commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable youth in our community.
