We’ve Got the Flooring - Can You Help Us Put it Down?

Good news: a local flooring partner has stepped up in a big way. They’re donating all of the commercial-grade vinyl plank and adhesive for our second floor (four bedrooms and the hallway) and reducing their labour rate. That puts safer, cleaner, more dignified rooms within reach, if we can cover the labour: $3,986 + HST.

Why this matters:
Health & cleanliness: Seamless, non-porous flooring is easier to sanitize and doesn’t trap dust or spills, which is important when rooms turn over and need quick, thorough cleaning.

Safety: Fewer chips and lifted edges mean fewer trip hazards.

Sleep & stability: The new floor is quieter underfoot, helping with better sleep and calmer nights, big for young people working on routines, school, and work.

Dignity: A room that looks cared for tells a youth they’re worth caring for.
That message matters.

If you’re able to help:

$5 - covers a square foot of installed flooring

$50 - one hour of skilled installation

$750 - helps sponsor a bedroom’s labour

Any amount moves us closer to scheduling the work.

Thank you for helping us turn bedrooms into real homes for the youth we serve. Your support makes everyday life safer, steadier, and more hopeful.

Thank You for an Incredible Golf Tournament!

We are thrilled to share that last month’s WRYM Charity Golf Tournament at Rochester Place Golf Club & Resort was a tremendous success! Thanks to the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, we raised approximately $15,000 in support of The Windsor Residence for Young Men.

The day was filled with great shots, plenty of laughter, and a spirit of community that reminds us just how strong Windsor-Essex is when we come together. Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping youth in our community find safe housing, build life skills, and work toward brighter futures.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our generous sponsors:

Platinum Sponsor:  Dave Freeman – Edward Jones
Gold Sponsor:  Everjonge Homes
Golf Cart Sponsors:  McDonald’s Restaurants of Windsor and Northstar Plumbing
Putting Contest Sponsor:  Nissan of Windsor

We are also grateful to our many hole sponsors, prize donors, and the dedicated volunteers who gave their time to ensure everything ran smoothly. And of course, thank you to each golfer who came out to play in support of WRYM, you truly made a difference.

Together, we’ve proven once again that community is stronger than any challenge. We can’t wait to see you all back on the greens next year!
